Training experience:
Rehan has given over 50 professional trainings in the State of New Jersey to psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, DYFS workers. and social workers on competency when working with Muslims and Arab-Americans. She is a Subject Matter Expert for Rutgers Univesity, Montclair University, and Stockton College for her training: “How to Work with Muslims and Arab Americans.” She has received media recognition by the New Jersey News, Herald News, The Patersonian and the Daily Record. Through her work with the Mental Health Association of Passaic County, Rehan was honored with the 2007 National Betty Humphrey Cultural Competency Award. She also provides workshops and trainings on mental health issues to the Arab-American and Muslim community and private Islamic schools.
